After being cloudy for quite some times, we finally saw some sun shines today. When I walked into the Arts Museum this afternoon, the sun shine simply went straight through the big windows, and you could feel the warmth and the happiness inside your heart.
Because of different kinds of credit card promotions during my b-day month, I went crazy shopping these few days, and this afternoon with my sis. I think I have already stocked up all the clothes I need for summer and all the beauty products I need for the whole year!!!!!!
The four-day Chinese New Year holiday is coming to the end. It's a holiday I was long looking for, not because of the festive season, but because of the many days away from office.
Unfortunately, I was stuck with work and study. I only squeezed some time to do some meaningless things (like watching a not very good movie and knitting) till this afternoon, and I am back to work now.
The next long weekend is Easter. Two months away. Something to look forward to.
Well, at least not from head to toe.
From the top, I keep coughing these two days and my throat is really hurt. The worst thing No. 2 is I kept talking on the phone with a "hyperactive" voice in the office, as I needed to liaise with almost every sector in the universe this week, and this kind of "inter-space" liaison will continue till at least 8 March. And the worst thing No. 1 is...I have my Mandarin exam tomorrow!!!!! Not only that I didn't study, I might not be able to speak tomorrow!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
At the bottom, my knee is the usual problem + wrong posture during physical therapy session last Saturday!!!!! It hurts a great lot, and extend to the problem to the waist. OUCHHHHH!!!!!
I had tried Chinese doctor on Tuesday. It gets a bit better the following day, but it gets worse these few days. I think I will need to see a specialist again next week.

These are the slogans of our two candidates of the Chief Executive Election in March. I can write more on these slogans alone, but, basically, I see no hope here. One only wants to get things done, no heart, no passion, no commitment (not to mention "vision"). The other is not hoping to win, but to run only.

These statements reflect my latest physical and mental states. I need holidays!
I am going to see the physical therapist this Saturday, at 9am!!!!! I've been in the queue since last August and there I am this weekend.
To prepare for the session, I first dig out the referral slip. Then, I try to recollect the symptoms, sequence, some observations, etc. of my knee pain, as I am going to tell the physical therapist all over again, and need not to say I had forgotten most of the details since it was first started at the end of 2005! Then, I count the number of doctors I have consulted -- my own doctor, two private specialists, two Chinese doctors (not to mention I had actually seen three Chinese doctors at the HKU SPACE clinic), the one in the emergency room, one physical therapist, another PT who determined how far I should stand in the queue, two government specialists... ...and each time I have to mention the details of my pain all over again... ...
I am sympathetic to those advocate for one-stop service for sexual violence victims!

there's no internet!!!!!
Yes, it's right. There's an earthquake in Taiwan last night, and even people in HK could feel it (not including me though...I was already quite dizzy myself after taking coughing pills all day...) Some tele-cables underseas were broken, and it affects internet, long-distance calls, etc. The internet is slow, and I can't (slowly) log in gmail and browse my own blog until now.
And yes, I kept coughing and I could hardly speak until now. But then my knee hurts again, I guess, because of the cold weather. I think I need to see a doctor soon.
This is the headline of the South China Morning Post today.
I always like the headings of English newspapers over the Chinese ones. This heading makes you think the whole town is in the heat of the Chief Executive election in March next year, while in fact no one really cares, or NO ONE CAN CARE except the 800 members of the Election Committee who can vote in the election (well, unless you are going to participate in the civil referendum).
I belong to the social welfare sector. It's interesting enough that all of the candidates from the Social Welfare Department and many of the agency heads lost. I guess that's life when most of the voters are frontline social workers.
The last time we had an "election" for CE was ten years ago. The 2nd election in 2002 and the by-election last year was uncontested (!!). While I might not be absolutely in favour of Leong, I sure do to want to see a competition.
This is the first time I voted at a "small circle" election. Even though I don't agree on it, I think it's important to make sure those I support are in and those I don't are out.
